Simon Bolivar was one of the great historic figures of the 19th Century who liberated much of South America from Spanish rule.
The Bolivar brand was created in 1902 and is based today in the Partagas factory which is in the heart of Havana.
It is perhaps not surprising that a Habano named after such a powerful figure is blended to match his might. Bolivar is among the strongest, most full bodied of all Habanos. It boasts an unrivalled richness of flavour in its blend of Vuelta Abajo zone filler and binder tobacco that makes it one of the most sought-after marques amongst experienced smokers.
In 1989 Heinrich Villiger founded 5th Avenue Products Trading in Havana. Since then, the company has been the official importer of Habanos in Germany and sells almost all cigar formats made in Cuba. 2019, the 30th anniversary year, was the occasion for the launch of the exclusive edition of 3,000 individually numbered porcelain jars, filled with 25 pieces of a classic format from the Bolívar brand - the legendary Belicoso Fino. The Vitola is called "Campana" and has a length of 140 mm and a ring gauge of 52. The noble box was produced by the renowned German porcelain manufacturer Seltmann from Weiden in Bavaria in the Upper Palatinate. Porcelain jars filled with habanos are among the most popular collector's items among aficionados around the world. The jars are a classic way of storing habanos that has been in use since the late 18th century. The completely handcrafted Belicosos Finos are the only figurado format in the range of the Bolívar brand, which traditionally stands for strong and full-bodied Habanos. The finest tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo cultivation zone, the best cultivation area in Cuba, is used for the mixture.

As the strongest of the Bolivar cigars this stick has a very good draw and excellent combustion.
Unlike the slightly rougher tasting Sancho Belicosos this Bolivar Belicosos Finos although the strongest of the Bolivar cigars, boasts a smooth, rich, aromatic profile with the subtle spiciness you would expect from a full bodied powerful cigar.
